Our portrait photography course is intended for those with no previous photographic experience, or those with limited knowledge and is seeking to reach Licentiate level with the MPA or BIPP.

The course combines one day seminars (at the Holiday Inn Express in Stansted) and home-based study, spread over the duration of a 6 month course. We offer individual mentoring throughout your course with continuous critiquing of your work and access to leads and bookings in available areas.

Some of the areas covered on the course include:

• Contemporary, reportage and spontaneous photography
• Basic Photoshop and the use of it in creating cutting edge products
• Image editing and retouching
• People manipulation: How to organize and structure a photography session
  in the most time efficient way
• Ambient and natural light: How to recognise the quality of light
  and how to use it

Our wedding photography course is intended for those with no previous photographic experience, or those with limited knowledge and are seeking to reach Licentiate level with the MPA or BIPP.

Included in your course is the opportunity to accompany a Barrett & Coe photographer on a wedding (where available). The Wedding Photography Course has the most in-depth syllabus for wedding photography training in the UK.

Not only are Barrett & Coe the most experienced trainers in Wedding photography in the UK but they were also commissioned by City & Guilds to produce the first Level 4 for Higher Level 1 Qualification in Photographic & Multimedia Imaging in Portrait and Social Photography.
